Google Product Extensions Come to Mobile Ads

On June 9, 2011, Google announced two new ad formats for mobile Smartphone called : Product Extension Ads and Product Local Ads to promote mobile search advertising.

Google gave a reason of developing these two formats as follows :

• Google research has found that many mobile users are searching information while they are in a store or on the go.
Therefore, Google comes up with Product Extension Ads.

• 54% of Smartphone shoppers use their phones to locate a retailer, and
34% search for a store’s product inventory
